Roger Tipton is the managing partner for Northern Lights Solutions, Inc (NLS), a product innovation firm that has been working with firms across the globe since 2009 to solve some of today’s toughest new product development challenges. We serve commercial companies along with life sciences organizations, international corporations and government institutions.
Along with his work at NLS, Mr. Tipton is a board member at AMtechworks which is focused on additive manufacturing and Good Hill Holding which is based in Hong Kong and is primarily providing services to companies in Asia.
He is a former director of operations for Astra Products in Ravenna, Ohio, where he managed both line and staff functions. Astra Products won a Manny Award for excellence in manufacturing during Mr. Tipton’s tenure. His experience also includes positions as an engineering manager at Rubbermaid, as an industrial engineer at Little Tikes, quality manager at American Showa, a Japanese automotive company; and manufacturing engineer for ASC/AYM, another Japanese automotive company.
Mr. Tipton has extensive international experience, having worked and lived in Asia for 2 years and worked with clients in 14 different countries on 5 continents.
Mr. Tipton received a Bachelor of Science in Material Engineering from Ohio State University, and studied Yacht Design at the Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology, and is a PhD student in Materials Science at the University of South Florida.
