Northern Lights Solutions Inc. is proud to announce that that we have been contracted by the Oatey Corporation to provide material testing services.  Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Oatey is a leader in the plumbing industry by manufacturing high quality products for residential and commercial applications.  Created with advanced solutions their innovative products have received exceptional brand recognition since the company was founded in 1916.  Oatey has distribution and manufacturing facilities located throughout the world and is known for their quality customer support and technical help.

Oatey contracted NLS because we can take a product design from concept to reality, as our team is involved in virtually every stage of the design cycle, from concept design and prototyping to production and end-of-life support.  We have experience with materials testing, which was vital for Oatey’s new project as they understood the value of using the right material for a new program can mean the difference between a successful project and one that needs a new plan.

Material Scientists at NLS

NLS has a materials scientist on staff so we are not just following a test procedure but we have the expertise to understand the ins and outs of testing.  We can also work with your team to select the best materials possible for your application.

Equipment to Test Nearly Everything

This testing for Oatey was a very basic material performance but we have the ability to do a massive amount of testing work including:

  • Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM)
  • Focused Ion Beam (FIB)
  • Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM)
  • SEM EDS
  • Standard Light Microscopy
  • Transmission Light Microscopy (TEM)
  • X-Ray Diffractometer

We have scientific labs that we can use for materials work including a Wet Chemistry Lab, Thin Film Lab, Test Lab, and a Cleanroom.

We have provided a range of services to Oatey over the years and we are excited that it now includes material testing.
